Announcing Accessible PDF View, an open-source Chrome extension I built that turns the PDF you're viewing into accessible HTML. Runs entirely in the browser — no server involved. On Chrome, it also generates image alt text with the browser's built-in LLM. https://accessiblepdfview.org/ #accessibility

Accessible PDF View — read a PDF the way you read a web page
A browser extension that rebuilds PDFs as HTML with real headings, lists, tables and links. Everything is parsed in the browser; documents are never sent anywhere.
